The Curse of the Night King - Self-Initiated Fantasy Novel Cover
My goal was to create a book cover that portrayed a feminine fantasy story, with a strong, stylized character, a whimsical environment, and bright colors - something unique and fresh to the fantasy genre. I began by creating a sketch and building the scene around the heroine. I wanted a flowy, "spilled ink" or smoke sort of composition, so I created the background emerging out of that.
Initial sketch.
Planning colors and background composition.
Final illustration after rendering and adding details.

Beneath the Summer Starlight - Re-Release Album Cover - Dom-nlc
My client requested a new album cover based on one I had previously done in early 2025. He had a few requests, such as the ferris wheel, stars, and female character, but the overall scope was up to my interpretation of the album.
Old cover.
Three initial sketches to capture melancholic feeling.
I wanted to create something that portrayed the girl "hanging on" to the stars, but things are changing.
Summer is fading into autumn, the night is fleeting, and the stars are vanishing.
After my client selected the third sketch, I began creating the piece.
The colors were a challenge -- creating an image where seasons are changing without muddying the palette. I ultimately chose yellow to pink gradients and pink to blue gradients.
Client was satisfied with the direction, so I continued. Since this was a repeat client, I understood his preferences and was able to execute them accordingly.
Client ultimately requested a fully-rendered, polished image, contrary to the previous "sketch" look I had created in the past.
After a few back-and-forth emails, I adjusted the background, facial expression, and minor details until the client was fully satisfied and the piece was finished.
